My 13 year old son, Matthew and I read The Stop together. I was shocked when he shared some of the negative experiences he’s already had with police officers. We live in a quaint community in Chicago, he’s an honor student and he attends one of the top High Schools in Illinois. Yet, he clearly identified with many of Dwayne’s experiences. No one is exempt. Every parent, coach, educator and student should read The Stop and have a full dialogue about ‘The STOP’. We are adding this to our book club must read list.
